UCEM’s Building Control programmes accredited by RICS
Posted on: 10 August, 2020
UCEM’s Building Control programmes have been accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
The successful accreditation of our BSc (Hons) Building Control programme and Building Control Surveyor Degree apprenticeship follows on from the recent accreditation by the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) of the same two programmes.
UCEM’s Director of Academic Quality, Helen Edwards, commented: “Gaining accreditation from the sector’s top professional bodies is essential in confirming that our programmes suitably equip graduates to flourish in the Built Environment.
“I’m delighted that RICS has accredited UCEM’s new Building Control programmes which will support students on the programmes to progress in their careers and contribute to a safer Built Environment.”
RICS Education and Qualification Standards Global Director, Ian Jeal, added: “I am pleased to confirm accreditation has been granted for the BSc (Hons) Building Control, part-time and degree apprenticeship, and covers the student starter intakes from 2019. Thanks to those involved at UCEM for your efforts during the accreditation process, and continued commitment to a successful UCEM-RICS partnership.”
