UCEM makes new appointments to Board of Trustees for September 2024

Following the recent retirements of Misa von Tunzelman and Chris Turley over the course of the summer and early autumn, UCEM has appointed two further new Independent Trustees to its Board. We are delighted to announced that Jules Quinn and Jyotveer Singh Gill have been appointed for initial three-year terms of office.

Jules Quinn

Jules is a practising solicitor with over 30 years’ experience in employment law and matters of governance and compliance. Jules has significant experience as a school governor and was a member of the governing body of North London Collegiate School, Chair of Personnel and Enterprises Committees and subsequently Chair of NLCS Dubai. Jules has a degree in law from the University of Essex and a Masters Degree in Law from Oxford University.

Speaking of her appointment, Jules commented:

Diversity, equality and inclusion are in my DNA, both personally and professionally, and I look forward to working with my fellow trustees to further this journey in the built environment.”

Jyotveer Singh Gill

Jyotveer Singh Gill is the Associate Director of Education Technology and Web Development at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where he oversees three business-critical technology areas to deliver Oxford’s world-class services. He has over 17 years of experience in the health and education sector, as well as the tech start-up space.

In recognition of his contributions to the UK digital sector, Jyotveer was listed as one of the top 100 Asian Stars in UK Technology in 2024. Additionally, he received the Next CIO 2024 Award from CIO Online, highlighting him as one of the next generation of top technology leaders in the UK.

Jyotveer holds qualifications from both Cambridge and Oxford Universities and is a mentor, advisor, and social entrepreneur with a deep passion for leveraging technology for social good. He is committed to improving access to education and addressing the digital divide, actively incorporating social justice principles into product development to better serve both people and the planet.
