Knowledge Foundations is here!

The Oxford English Dictionary defines the word ‘bulletin’ as ‘a short official statement or broadcast summary of news’. It is the ‘short’ aspect of what a bulletin should be which was drawn to my attention in the context of what was formerly known as my e-bulletin.

With this document sometimes running to more than 100 pages (nearly 15 times as long as the very first e-bulletin I produced in January 2013!), it was felt that the start of UCEM’s centenary year would be a good time to rebrand the e-bulletin – and this leads us to Knowledge Foundations.

The new title reflects the importance of laying the foundations upon which to build and increase knowledge that will help you succeed and assist with continuing professional development (CPD).

The rebrand also afforded the opportunity to add some new graphics to this information service and I hope students will continue to read it and broaden their knowledge of the current topics and issues affecting the Built Environment sector.
