FUNDING AVAILABLE
BUILT FOR A HELPING HAND
Our mission is to provide accessible education for all. In order to do this, we keep our fees as competitive as possible and we provide flexible payment options. You may be entitled to a student loan or a grant so we’ve provided all the information and links you’ll need to find out and submit an application below:
Students domiciled in England, Wales and Northern Ireland may apply to Student Finance for a tuition fee loan. Eligible students may apply for funding for the full value of fees each academic year for all undergraduate programmes.
Students completing an online programme are not eligible for loans or grants for living and other costs, this applies even if you are studying at an accelerated intensity. You therefore cannot apply for a maintenance grant or loan for your studies at UCEM. Please ensure that you choose Distance Learning as your mode of study when completing your Student Finance application.
Please note that this funding is not available for students domiciled in Scotland.
Instructions for applying:
- Set up a student finance online account:
- Log in and complete the online application
Students domiciled in England, Wales and Northern Ireland may apply to Student Finance for a Postgraduate Loan to help towards programme and living costs. Unlike undergraduate loans where the Student Loans Company (SLC) pays the university the tuition fees directly, for postgraduate programmes the money is paid directly to you. For postgraduate programmes, this only occurs after you have completed registration and made your initial fee payment to UCEM.
You can choose to make an initial payment using one of the payment options we make available to our students. After you have registered and paid, our finance team will confirm your registration with Student Finance who will then release the awarded funding to your bank account. The first instalment of the postgraduate loan is normally paid within a week after the semester start date.
You can get up to:
- £12,471 if your course starts on or after 1 August 2024
- £12,167 if your course started between 1 August 2023 and 31 July 2024
- £11,836 if your course started between 1 August 2022 and 31 July 2023
Please note that this funding is not available for students domiciled in Scotland.
Apply for a Postgraduate Loan. Visit the Student Room for further information on eligibility, the application process and repayment.
